Vicki, a public speaker and advocate, currently resides in New Jersey.
Vicki served as a leader with Hope For the Future Ministries in New York City from September of 1997 to February of 2000 and served as a counselor and youth leader at Living Praise Church, New Jersey from October of 1997 to January of 2001.
In April of 1999 Vicki was married and settled down in northern New Jersey. In August of 2001, Vicki created a website called EndAllThePain to provide awareness and support on self-injury, abuse and a variety of other important issues.
In January of 2003 Vicki began visiting people in psychiatric facilities who intentionally cut and burn their bodies, which in 2005 led to forming a self-injury support group. Vicki continues to run the support group in NJ and meets with adults struggling with self-injury.
Vicki formed a self-injury support & resource center in December 2006 called Launching Point, which is 2007 was declared a 501(c)3 charitable organization in New Jersey.
In May of 2004, Vicki's first book No More Pain! Breaking the Silence of Self-Injury was published by Xulon Press.
Along with many speaking opportunities, Vicki was the keynote speaker (on self-injury) at the Crimes Against the Mind and Body Conference in Great Falls, Montana, October 13, 2005.
Arthel Nivel of Geraldo At Large interviewed Vicki for a story on "Cutters" in June, 2006.
In August, Kristi Watts of CBN's The 700 Club sat down with Vicki for a candid interview where she shares how a life with God transformed her life! The show aired on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 on CBN. Shortly after, Vicki appeared on 3ABN's Celebrating Life in Recovery where she shared her story of overcoming self-injury with host Cheri Peters.
In August, 2008 Vicki was in Graham Texas where she spoke to teenage girls on brokenness and purity at The Princess Project.
Currently, Vicki speaks on self-injury, abuse, and a variety of topics to inspire and encourage others.
