Lectures & Public Speaking Reviews

Vicki Duffy, author & public speaker
  • When Vicki is asked to speak at conferences or give lectures, she utilizes an interactive presentation, shows a 5 minute video clip on self-injury (for educational purposes), and makes hand-outs available. At schools, churches, and youth groups, she speaks candidly and freely (without a presentation) while making literature, articles and information available at a resource table.
Here's what people are saying...
"The slides were great, gave a personal touch and experiences make this presentation very interesting."

"…really knowledgeable."

"Vicki came across very sincere and to the point, she used her own experience, and her experiences with other people that self-injure to help the audience better understand."

"Her personality and candor was excellent."

"Very educational; aspects, solutions on communication, signs to look for were good, and what you can do to help."

"....informative, pictures were a great asset to really help people understand."

"Vicki was very available and animated. Her first person experience was incomparable."

"I so appreciated her openness and her desire to help others through it, and her honesty about her own healing. I noticed and appreciated her being available to many individuals to talk to through out the conference. Glad her book was available."

"Dear Vicki, I went to your conference that was held in Great Falls, MT a while back and I used to email you quite often.  I would just like to give you an update of how I have been since I last spoke to you and what I have been up to. I joined the US Air Force in July of 2006. I went to basic training on November 1st and am currently enrolled in Tech School at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.  I am graduating soon so I am pretty excited. My life has changed so much since I went to your conference. I have read your book several times and am finally on my way to a better life, a successful life. I can't even think of where to begin to thank you for everything. Even though my fiance' and I broke it off a couple months ago, things have been amazing. I love my job and I love what I will be doing and where I will be going. Again, thank you for absolutely everything and please stay in touch. Sincerely, forever."
